About
Dr. Shannon received his board certification in 2006 from the American Board of Orthodontics. Only 1 in 3 orthodontists in the state achieve this distinction. He was also inducted into the Pierre Fauchard Honorary Dental Academy and voted the “Best Dentist/Orthodontist” in Norman on multiple occasions.
To keep abreast of the latest developments in orthodontic care, Dr. Shannon attends continuing education courses on a regular basis, works with orthodontic suppliers in developing new products and speaks both locally and nationally on innovative orthodontic mechanics.
Dr. Shannon is the past president of the Cleveland County and Central District branches of the Oklahoma Dental Association. He has also served as the Chairman of the Council on Dental Education and Director of Children’s Dental Health month for the state of Oklahoma.
In 2010, Dr. Shannon accepted a position as a part-time clinical instructor for the Graduate Orthodontic program at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry.
