Public speaking and Doctor for a Day program

Drs. Shannon and Revels have spoken to hundreds of grade school, junior high, high school and college students regarding the benefits of oral health and braces, as well as the professions of orthodontics and dentistry.

Each summer, Orthodontic Exclusively allows a handful of high school and/or college students to shadow Dr. Shannon and Dr. Revels so that they can get a unique perspective of the orthodontic profession. The “Doctor for a Day” program has been very successful and, to date, over a dozen former patients and student observers have gone on to dental school.

In addition to lecturing at schools and pre-dental study clubs, our office seminar room seats approximately 26 people and is an excellent venue for Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Campfire, summer camps, etc., to view our office up-close and work toward accomplishing their Merit badge in Dentistry.

If your school, organization, or pre-dental study club would like to have Dr. Shannon or Dr. Revels speak on any of the subjects related to orthodontics and/or dentistry, or if you are interested in participating in the “Doctor for a Day” program, please contact Jessica Ferguson, at
